Workshops

A workshop held outside, not in a room without windows

Yoga, pottery, photography, writing, small retreats. Four separate areas across 4,000 sqm, just outside Bucharest.

Most workshops in Bucharest run indoors, under fluorescent light with street noise through the window. The alternatives in nature are two hours away, which means half the day goes on the road.

Here you get real quiet and four distinct areas a few steps apart: the shaded woodland, the open lawn, the roofed gazebo and the pavilions with the tables. A group can move between them through the day without anyone getting in a car.

The woodland with the oldest trees on the property, light filtering through the branches

The light is the argument

In the afternoon the light comes filtered through the branches in the woodland, and the lawn keeps the sun into the evening. For photography workshops, for filming and for anything photographed at the end, that is a difference no room gives you.

Four areas, used in turn

Theory under the pavilions, practice on the lawn, breaks in the gazebo, long conversations in the woodland. Small groups work separately without hearing each other.

Reduced rate midweek

Workshops usually run Monday to Thursday, which is exactly when our rate is lowest. From 45 lei per person for six hours, with the whole grounds at your disposal.

Frequently asked questions

What does a workshop day cost?

Monday to Thursday, 45 lei per person for six hours and 65 for a full day, with a billed minimum of 15 people. A workshop of fifteen on a Tuesday, six hours, comes to 675 lei for the whole grounds. For companies and NGOs we also work with a flat day rate, if you need one round figure for your accounts.

Can a workshop run if it rains?

The two pavilions give 200 sqm of covered space with the tables set out there, and the gazebo is roofed too. The sides stay open, so it is shelter from rain rather than a closed room. In genuinely cold weather it is worth choosing a date in the warm season.

Can we shoot photos or film here?

Yes, and it is one of the best uses of the place. The venue is hired in full, so nobody wanders into your frame. For short shoots, a midweek half day is the cheapest option. Tell us if you need power at particular spots.

Is there accommodation for two-day retreats?

Not on site. We work with guesthouses a few minutes away by car and will make the introduction. A second consecutive day of rental is 30% off.

How many people fit at a workshop?

Up to 60, but the formats that work best here have between 10 and 25 people. At that number the four areas really can be used in turn, and the quiet in the woodland makes itself felt.

Come and see the place

Photographs help, but they do not tell the whole story. Book a visit and decide once you are standing in it.
