Christenings

A christening where children have room to run

Lawn, real shade and covered pavilions. Half a day if that is all you need.

At a christening, half the guests are under ten and none of them sit at the table for more than ten minutes. That makes what surrounds the table matter more than the table itself: 1,500 sqm of mown lawn, a woodland that holds shade all day, and a gazebo where grandparents can sit down away from the music.

You can book half a day if the party ends in the afternoon, or the full day if you want it to carry on. One event per day, either way.

A place to play, not just grass

The lawn is flat and mown all season, not only on the day of your event. Children can run without stepping on anything and without leaving their parents' line of sight.

Real shade at midday

The woodland has the oldest trees on the property and holds shade all day. At a summer christening that matters more than any decoration.

Half a day is an option

Six hours, morning or evening, at a rate to match. You do not pay for 24 hours if your party ends at five.

Covered if the weather turns

All guests fit under the pavilions, with the sides closed and heating if needed. Christenings happen here in April and in October alike.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a christening usually run?

Most fit the half-day package — six hours, typically from midday into the evening. If you want it to carry on into the night, move to the full day and there is no closing time.

Is there a dedicated space for children?

The lawn is theirs: flat, clear of obstacles and visible from everywhere. We do not have fixed play equipment — many parents prefer to bring an entertainer or an inflatable, and there is plenty of room for both.

Can we bring our own cake and bakery?

Yes, at no extra charge. The service kitchen has fridges and prep space, so the cake stays cold until its moment.

Can the religious service be held here too?

The service takes place at the church, but the party afterwards can start straight away. We are minutes from the local churches and will tell you exactly how long the drive takes, so you do not misjudge the timing.

Come and see the place

Photographs help, but they do not tell the whole story. Book a visit and decide once you are standing in it.
